Frequent Posts

Posting a whole lot more frequently lately. Maybe I’m just getting bored. I didn’t think two weeks away from a constant stream of school work would have this affect on me. Maybe I should have done more interesting things this past week. Oh well, Looking forward to a DC trip on Sunday.

What US Didn't Notice During Its Financial Crisis.

Was surprised to find this, among other things, two days ago during the financial crisis on wall street:

Testing Windows Writer

So in the process of playing with getting my photo collection on Flickr, I’ve decided to try "Windows Writer", which lets me use a desktop application to post to my blog. Hopefully this will save me some of the trouble of having to log into my site. I’ve switched up the theme for the 10,000th time, since I don’t have any real content to publish here.

Actually, it seems to be a pain in the ass because I can’t add or edit tags on this app. Well, I guess I won’t be tagging a lot of the posts I do.

Down To Business

Let’s see if we can’t put some chumps out of business.

Google Chrome is…

F’ing awesome.

Looking Forward To Google Chrome

So I just saw the comic for Google Chrome and I must say that I am really looking forward to it. In fact, it has me looking into other Google products. I’m trying to pick a topic to write on for a “Knol” but I’m not sure which at the moment. Likely whatever I choose I’ll mirror on here. Anyway, I’ll be trying it tomorrow and likely giving my two cents in the next few days. I’d really like to get a good screen capture software too…

Sync Google Calendar with iPhone

I finally found a way to perfectly sync Google Calendar with iPhone in 3 one-time easy steps. Unfortunately it requires iCal and a Mac.

  1. First, go to this page and follow the instructions: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=99358
  2. Set up your calendars in iCal properly.
  3. Connect your iPhone and sync.

Your iPhone should automatically sync and update google calendar whenever iCal is open to update the events. This is by far the best free alternative and ensures that all your events are in sync and properly formated.

The Death Penalty Is Wrong…Period.

I was thinking about a statistic I had seen the other day about how only a little over 1/3 of Americans believe that the death penalty is immoral and should be removed from the justice system. I find it actually quite appalling, since I happen to be a staunch opponent of the death penalty for a number of reasons. It is for this reason that I’m writing this article. I hope that some people will read it and have it open their eyes to the complete foolishness of the death penalty.

I believe there are two types of individuals in this issue. People that have really thought about it, and people that haven’t (or won’t). People that have really thought hard about it may have originally been for it, or following some chain events, came to analyze the mounds of sociological evidence and decided against it. Or rather, they carefully examined the reasoning behind their morality, and found it to be contradictory. Those who haven’t thought about it usually have some pretty shallow justifications for their beliefs. Beliefs that are not ground in morality or logic, but in raw emotion. Unfortunately for them, raw emotion doesn’t make you right or rational.

So what I’m going to do is this. I’m going to prove that if you believe in the death penalty, you are irrational (meaning you aren’t using logic in your argument and therefore your argument is not valid), and furthermore, I’m going to prove that you don’t care about anyone but yourself. In short, I’m going to try and make you look like a bad person. If you don’t support the death penalty, then you have nothing to worry about. Don’t believe me…follow carefully. Oh and I promise to be a little less bias in the rest of the article.
